Aloha & hello — I’m Ren Shadowhorse, marketing consultant, graphic artist, speaker, and founder of Arin West. Like a shoemaker’s elf
You’ve probably never heard of me, and I wouldn’t expect you to. I’ve spent most of my career as a creative/art director quietly working behind the scenes with these brands and more.
I’ve designed, animated, coded, and sound edited dozens of ecards for companies like The Home Depot, NCR, Red Lobster, and Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo), as well as the U.S. government. My large-format print campaigns and photos from shoots that I’ve art directed have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and many other general & industry publications across the country. More recently, my integrated campaigns for South Coast Repertory, a Tony award-winning regional theatre, can be found all over Southern California’s virtual and geographic landscape. My pro bono work extends to non-profit organisations such as the amazing people of Shakespeare Orange County, to whom I donated over $12,000 worth of creative services, including marketing & PR strategies, copywriting, creative/art direction, photography & image retouching, and more — all towards their 38th season, which resulted in more press coverage and new patrons than they’d had in years.
